Fashion draws inspiration from various sectors but, as an art-form in itself, some of the most striking collections we have encountered are those drawing inspiration from art - particularly 20th Century contemporary art. We saw this in evidence during Jacques Van Der Watt's latest collection marking the launch of his new diffusion line 'Black' by Black Coffee.

The motifs used by Rene Magritte in many of his paintings were evident. The artistic elements were very clear. Man Ray's 'Lips" provided inspiration for the accompanying hats |

Black Coffee's signature architectural elements were also evident. These elements seemed to hark back to art movements such as Op Art and classical sculpture.
