After the Stuttafords launch drew to a close we high-tailed it home for a quick change before heading to The Saxon Hotel for the inaugural South African Of The Year (SATY) nominations party hosted by ANN7. The awards were created to celebrate extraordinary citizens who are making a difference in the lives of ordinary people.
Some nominees included: Basetsana Kumalo, Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, Minnie Dlamini and campaigns such as 67 Blankets For Madiba.
One of the highlights of the evening was an electrifying performance by Zahara and the promise of Mafikizolo performing at the awards ceremony on the 6th September.
Upon arrival we were immediately ushered in front of the cameras by ANN7 presenter Avashnee Vandiar for an impromptu interview |
Tamerin Jardine (left) stuck to the local theme by wearing a "Diane Van Staden" creation (you had to be there to understand this one!) seen here with 5fm's Poppy Ntshongwana |
Refilwe Modiselle looking fierce in animal print |
Jay Anstey (left) and Nonhle Thema (right) both incorporated metallics and shimmer, although Jay chose a more toned-down version. We love their supermodel posing! |
Roxy Burger took a break from Strictly Come Dancing and was spotted shouting at Alan for not voting last week! |
The empress of hype Melanie Ramjee wanted our advice regarding the theme for her upcoming Big Birthday Bash. We're still thinking... |
Then it was time to share a joke with David Tlale #CaptionThisPicture |
Of course, what would an event be without us selecting our Best Dressed for the evening...
Best Dressed Man TJ Steyn wowed us with a classic double-breasted jacket in subdued grey with subtle coordinating pocket square and timeless Cartier watch |
Best Dressed Woman Cara Watt getting the right blend of bling, sophisticated silhouette and pop of colour all tied together effortlessly in one stunning look |
