We recently attended the Edgars Spring/Summer 2015 launch at Shine Studios in Braamfontein. With winter rapidly approaching, it can sometimes be difficult to think about Summer attire but in the fashion game, we always need to stay one season ahead. And what wonderful attire we have to look forward to when the weather warms up again. Here are some of the main trends that were identified by the Edgars trend team...

Monochromatic dottiness!

Continuing with the monochromatic trend, Edgars has incorporated another popular visual motif to complement this: polka dots. We loved this particular showcase as it was fun, fresh and instantly visually appealing. Pairing dots and stripes created a geometric visual frenzy. 

All Denim: a fabric favourite that transcends seasons

Incorporating denim into more casual looks will remain a Spring/Summer trend. The all-denim head to toe look is especially popular. 

A 70s throwback: tassels, suedes, neutral tones

The 70s fashion revival continues into Summer 2015. It evokes a more natural, handmade quality and has a relaxed, retro feel to it. We identified this as one of the major trends for 2015 earlier this year: Trend Report: 1970s Trending in 2015
